Balwyn Rotary has made a significant contribution to Every Daughter Matters to support efforts in interrupting and preventing human trafficking. This includes providing care and vocational training for survivors in Nepal, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and opportunity. It is estimated that there are 50 million people in slavery around the world today!
Every Daughter Matters mission is to intercept vulnerable Nepali girls at risk of human trafficking and stop the abuse before it begins.
The club also supports the education of indigenous students, provides scholarships for students in Africa and sponsors peace scholars.
