Join us for a special Behind the Badge presentation as we hear from our President-Elect, Julie Mulhauser. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the person who will soon be leading our club — their background, passions, career journey, and what Rotary means to them. These sessions are always a highlight, offering a deeper connection with the people who help shape our club’s future.

Whether you're a long-time member or just getting involved, come along to support Julie and gain a richer understanding of the journey that brought her to this leadership role.

Julie Mulhauser is a retired medical specialist and active community advocate based in Camberwell.
She is widely recognised for her work in:

  • Sustainable Living: Julie retrofitted her 1970s home into a net-zero energy residence, earning a 10-star efficiency rating. She promotes electrification and energy efficiency as practical climate solutions.

  • Climate Action & Local Advocacy: She actively contributes to Boroondara’s Climate Action Plan, pushing for better cycling infrastructure, public transport, and EV charging.

  • Civic Engagement: Julie questions government planning decisions and challenges processes she feels lack transparency—especially regarding zoning changes and housing developments.

  • Education & Outreach: She gives talks on home retrofitting, shares her journey to an all-electric home, and inspires others through local seminars and community platforms.

Her work showcases how one individual can influence both environmental sustainability and community governance through informed action and persistence.
