Dr. David Olive is a specialist anaesthetist. After graduating in Medicine from Monash University, he undertook specialist training in Melbourne and in the UK, before working for several years as a full-time anaesthetist at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He now has a practice split between the public sector at St. Vincent’s and private practice. He is a lecturer to doctors undertaking specialist training in anaesthesia at the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. He has special interests in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and obstetric anaesthesia. He is the Chairman of Obstetric Anaesthesia at St. Vincent’s Private and also at Epworth HealthCare (incorporating Epworth Freemasons and Epworth Geelong). When not passing gas, he is a keen Hawks supporter, and a mediocre golfer here at Green Acres.
