Our speaker Andrew Hudson is a dynamic senior leader with 25 years of varied advocacy, campaigns and senior government relations experience with NGOs, the UN, private sector and government. Experience includes: complex global CEO leadership of an advocacy/campaigns organisation; high-level advocacy and impactful campaigns to influence governments in every region of the world; awarded the Skoll Foundation’s prestigious social entrepreneurship award for systemic change; strategic planning; high-level networking and relationship building with governments, media and stakeholders; political judgment and understanding of how politics and policy interplay; fundraising over A$8million/year; complex global financial oversight and accountability; board relations and management; creating positive and inclusive organisational culture. Academic qualifications include; a Master of human rights law from NYU law school; Bachelors in Arts and Law from Melbourne University.

    History of Anesthesia – David Olive

    Dr. David Olive is a specialist anaesthetist. After graduating in Medicine from Monash University, he undertook specialist training in Melbourne and in the UK, before working for several years as a full-time anaesthetist at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He now has a practice split between the public sector at St. Vincent’s and private practice. He is a lecturer to doctors undertaking specialist training in anaesthesia at the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. He has special interests in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and obstetric anaesthesia. He is the Chairman of Obstetric Anaesthesia at St. Vincent’s Private and also at Epworth HealthCare (incorporating Epworth Freemasons and Epworth Geelong). When not passing gas, he is a keen Hawks supporter, and a mediocre golfer here at Green Acres.
