Sometimes a child is born with a condition that affects their face or head. Children with cleft lip, cleft palate, or other craniofacial differences often face enormous challenges. They may be hidden away, teased, or bullied. Many struggle with feeding, speech, and confidence. Most of all, they lack the opportunity to simply enjoy childhood.
That’s why our club is proud to support Yayasan Senyum Bali (Smile Foundation), an organisation dedicated to bringing life-changing health care to children and families across Bali and eastern Indonesia. The Smile Foundation provides not only surgery but also dentistry, speech therapy, and psychosocial care—ensuring every child receives holistic support on their journey to health. For families living in remote villages, the Foundation coordinates transport to Bali, provides accommodation and meals at the Smile House in Denpasar, and offers caring guidance through every step of treatment.
The club board has committed AUD $20,000 in funding through to the end of the 2025–26 financial year. This support is expected to help treat around 20 patients, giving each of them a brighter future.
Behind each number is a powerful story: children who once faced isolation now laughing and learning with their peers; parents who once felt despair now filled with hope. Every repaired smile is not just a medical success—it’s the beginning of a new life filled with possibility.
By walking alongside the Smile Foundation, we are helping to ensure that these children can grow up healthy, confident, and free to simply be kids.
